Description
Species Description - Tree; young shoots finely appressed puberulous at first, becoming glabrous, pale grey, with a few lenticels. Leaves clustered, spirally arranged, 6.5-11 × 2.8-4.7 cm, elliptic, apex obtuse or rounded, base narrowly attenuate and slightly decurrent, thinly coriaceous, glabrous; midrib slightly sunken on the upper surface, secondary veins 8-12 pairs, ascending, parallel, slightly arcuate. Petiole 1-1.5 cm long, not channelled, glabrous. Pedicel 6-7 mm long (in fruit). Sepals five, 1.3-2 mm long (in fruit), outer shorter than inner, apex rounded. Fruit in axils of fallen leaves, up to 1.7 cm long, subglobose or ovoid, glabrous. Seed solitary, ca. 1.5 cm long, apex rounded, base acute, smooth; scar basi-ventral, elliptic, ca. 4 × 3 mm; embryo not seen. The species is a large latex-producing tree up to 40 m high and 1 m diam.

Discussion
The incomplete material seen is not sufficient to indicate the relationships of this plant, but the seed structure and facies are enough to place it in Sideroxylon.
