Description
Species Description - Treelet; young branches sericeous with short reddish-ferruginous hairs, indumentum becoming greyish, eventually glabrous and rather scaly, without lenticels. Unarmed. Leaves spirally arranged, spaced, 2-7.1 × 0.9-1.7 cm, narrowly oblong-elliptic, apex obtuse or rounded, base acute to rounded, coriaceous, upper surface glabrous, lower surface persistently and closely sericeous with brown-ferruginous hairs; venation brochidodromous, marginal vein present, margin revolute, midrib flat or slightly sunken on the upper surface; secondary veins 6-7 pairs, parallel, obscure; lower order venation obscured. Petiole 3-4 mm long, not channelled, sericeous. Flower axillary, solitary or paired; pedicel 4-5 mm long, sericeous. Mature flowers and fruit unknown. Field characters. Small treelet of 3 m, flowering Jun.

Distribution
Known only from two collections in the Dominican Republic, where it was recorded as dominant in "light forest" over limestone.
