    Description - Glabrous shrub, resinous-glutinous on branchlets and inflorescences. Leaves ovate, apex acuminate for ca 1.0 cm, base broadly attenuate-obtuse or almost rounded and slightly inequilateral, subcoriaceous, densely set with resinous points especially beneath, with a fine appressed puberulence underneath, margin entire and slightly revolute, 6.0-11.5 cm long, 4.5-6.0 cm broad, lateral nerves 6-8 pairs, rather straight from the midrib (the lowest pair almost basal), looping within the margin, prominent beneath, reticulation of veins and veinlets (very) dense, finely raised on both faces; petiole 1.0-2.0 cm long. Racemes axillary, corymbiform-contracted and 3-5-flowered, on peduncle 0.5-1.0 cm long; flower buds ellipsoid; pedicels slender, 6.0-8.0(-10.0) mm long. Sepals 3, oblong-ovate, resinous-dotted externally, ca 6.0 mm long, 4.0 mm broad. Petals 6-8, oblong to narrowly so, white, glabrous, ca 6.0 mm long, 2.0-3.0 mm broad. Stamens 30-40, unequal; filaments slender, glabrous, 1.0-2.0 mm long; anthers sparsely short-hairy at apex, ca 1.3 mm long. Ovary subglabrous, with sparse erect bristles ca 1.0 mm long; style glabrous, ca 2.0 mm long. Capsule globular, echinate, ca 1.5 cm diam incl the bristles, the latter sparsely set, much thickened at the base, and ca 4.0 mm long.
