Description: Shrub 1.5-5 m. Young stems terete, pubescent with long stalked glands with thin walled heads 0.2-1.8 mm, puberulent with stipitate-stellate trichomes, internodes longitudinal ridges absent, nodal line absent. Leaves isophyllous; petiole 2.2-9.6 cm long and pubescent as in the stem; the blade 5.9-12.1 x 2.2-10.1 cm, ovate, chartaceous, the apex attenuate, the base subcordate, the margin ciliate with trichomes and glands; secondary veins 3 pairs, basally nerved with some large leaves plinnerved, diverging 0.5-0.8 cm above the base, symetrically; tertiary veins percurrent, reticulate, areoles 1.2-2.8 mm wide, veins flat on the adaxial surface and raised on the abaxial surface; adaxial surface smooth, slightly rugose, the surface and veins pubescent with long stalked glands with thin walled heads 0.7-1.5 mm, puberulent with stipitate-stellate trichomes; abaxial surface pale green, the surface and veins pubescent and glandular with trichomes and glands 0.7-3.6 mm. Inflorescences a terminal panicle, 4.2-10.4 cm long; peduncles terete to rectangular, green and pinkish red, pubescent with long stalked glands with thin walled heads 0.6-2.0 mm, puberulent with stipitate-stellate trichomes; bracts caducous; bracteoles persistent, 1.4-2.1 x 0.2-0.7 mm, lanceolate. Flowers (7-)8-merous, diplostemonous, pedicel 0-21 mm long, pubescent and glandular, trichomes and glands 0.1-1.6. Hypanthium 5 mm long, campanulate, 2.7-4.3 mm wide at torus, external surface pubescent and glandular as in the inflorescence, internal surface glabrous. Calyx open in bud, the lobes 1.9-3 x 2.5 mm mm long, ovate-oblong, fused at the base; calyx teeth acerose, 2.3-3.1 x 0.2-0.8 mm, pubescent and glandular with trichomes as in and terminating in a single trichome, pinkish red. Petals-8, 8-15.3 x 5-8 mm, obovate, spreading, white with occassional pink edges at anthesis (drying pinkish white), glabrous, the apex broadly rounded to truncate, the base truncate, the margin entire. Stamens isomorphic, flexed to one side of the flower at anthesis; filament 4.6-7.7 mm long, glabrous, white, [later remaining white] anthers with 2 locules, thecae 3.8-5 x 0.8-1 mm, straight, connective prolonged 0.1-0.2 mm, opening by 1 upright 0.2-0.3 pore, at anthesis white, glabrous. Ovary 7 or 8-locular, glabrous, globose, the apex absent a corona; style 5-8 mm long, straight, white, glabrous; stigma truncate, slightly expanded, apex glandular, 0.7-0.8 mm wide.
