Heimioporus mandarinus (Ces.) E.Horak
-
Description
Diagnosis: The conico-umbonate, rugulose pileus appears distinctive in the genus. Corner (1972) describes the pileus as viscid glutinous — the protologue indicates the pileus as dry, which is the state I have seen. Corner also indicated that the red color develops with age — again, this is contrary to what I have seen. Spores are alveolate-reticulate.
Registration number: MB368302
Ectomycorrhiza: Fagaceae, Dipterocarpaceae
Distribution: Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Papua New Guinea.
