Diagnosis: Basidiomata gasteroid, flattened to globse or subglobose, bright golden yellow to dull orange, dry. Gleba loculose, somewhat cartilaginous, chocolate brown in color when mature, with empty locules. Rhizomorphs numerous, cocolorus with peridium. Columella concolorous with peridium, staining bright red (an artifact). Spores subfusoid, smooth. Peridial pellis compactly interwoven. Trama divergent, gelatinous. Clamp connections absent.
Ectomycorrhizae: Myrtaceae (Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, Leptospermum); Casuarinaceae (Allocasuarina).

Commentary: So far, R. boletoides is the only described species. The protologue erroneously mentions rufescence on bruising and is an artifact. There appear to be additional species as yet undescribed.
