  • Description

    Slender understorey tree up to c. 17 m., but often flowering when only 3 m high. Trunk up to c. 10 cm. diam. bark firm greyish lightly fissured. Branches spreading , young shoots and stems dusky brown. Leaves dull dark green above with impressed veins. Veins chestnut beneath. Lamina beneath buff with pearly shee. Young fruit green with brown scurff. Ripe fruit black. Leaves on young plants often much larger than those on older taller plants. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
