    Unlogged forest on terra firme near recently opened unpaved access road. Some patches dominated by Guadua sarcocarpa; Tetragastris and Brosimum common. Rare. Clay soils.

    Tree. Tree 20m x 25cm, outer bark gray, hoop marks, smooth, thin, inner bark deep red-purple, inflorescences erect, flowers yellow. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
