Description
Canopy tree 25-30 m. Lvs. camellia-like in texture, green adaxially & spring green abaxially; inflorescence axis green, peduncles green & pendant; unopened flw buds green turning cream just prior to opening; calyx & corolla pale blue; stamens plae blue in ring around gynoecium; possibly 2-3 types of pollen offered, anthers on half of ring proximal to hood w/ yellow-orange pollen, anthers on opposite half, w/ cream pollen, also anthers on hood offering yellow pollen. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
