Collection Notes
This collection is not Gustavia longifolia as previously determined by me (S. A. Mori, 1987). The label states that the fruits have a white latex which is not a character of Gustavia. The strip of bark glued onto the specimen has adventitious roots, a feature that I have not seen in Gustavia. However, the leaves and flower fragments in the packet represent a species of Gustavia.
