Description
Parasite on roots in shallow forest stream bed (with a layer of leaf litter over gravel). Roots of host with white latex. Bracts dark brown; round smooth portion of inflorescence maroon; open flower red with yellow stamens. (2 collections of infected roots). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
