  • Description

    Pileus 8.6-11 cm broad, convex to planoconvex, subviscid to moist and slippery, dark chocolate brown to nearly black, with occasional areas of pale brownish yellow whre covered by litter, finely rugulose wrinkled. Flesh white, unchanging with mild odor and taste. Hymenophore adnexed, white when young, soon yellowish to greenish yellow, staining light brown occasionally. Stipe 6-10 cm long, 3-5 cm broad, broadly clavate to clavate to subclavate, pinched at the base, dry, finely reticulate over upper half, white overall when young, soon pale tan above and white at base, with interior white, unchanging. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
