  • Georeferencing Method

Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the shore directly south, across Rio Solimões, from the geographic center of the shore of the city of Manacapuru. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the geographic center of the shore of the city of Manacapuru, which sits along Rio Solimões in Amazonas, BR. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line to the shore directly south, across Rio Solimões; used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Solimões within município Manacapuru. Used linear extent as uncertainty radius.
