Description
"Subglobose, 3 cm. tall by 2 cm. wide, much wrinkled and apparently was hypogeous, when dry very hard, top or upper half seems to have flattened scales, no signs of a mouth, very slight root."---W. H. Long. Spores rough (verrucose), 10µ. Peridium covered especially above with bran-like scales; scurfy.---Zeller. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
