Dense forest. With Virola, Ficus and Bertholletia. On reddish, sandy clay and granite boulders.

Description
Tree, 25 m. Sepals brown, petals dull red with white margins, androphore white at base, deep red at middle, but pink at apex. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
