Along road banks rooted in thick moss layer. Heavily disturbed premontane forest. Locally common.

Description
Terrestrial to 0.75 m tall, or pendent. Corolla bright dark red. Mature berry dark purple, becoming terete. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
