Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "Barrio de Odorio," instead georeferenced to the geographic center of Rio Solimões within município São Paulo de Olivença in Amazonas, in accordance with other locality descriptions. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Solimões within São Paulo de Olivença. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line between the start and end of this segment of Rio Solimões; halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of the river within São Paulo de Olivença. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates, on the adjacent land. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the river within the boundaries of the município, 83754.6 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
