Description
gregarious. 1-4 cm broad, globose to ellipsoid to irregular in outline. Dry, bright sulphur yellow to cadmium yellow, staining bright orange to red, with some few superficial rhizomorphs. Peridium white to pale yellow and thin when viewed as exposed/cut, bright orange then deep purple with NH4 on yellow peridium. Interior pale olive to dark olive, then finally very dark brown, with gel filled chambers from the beginning. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
