Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the geographic center of Praia Grande in Amazonas. Using Google Maps, located Praia Grande along Rio Negro. Used measurement tool to measure a straight line starting at the beginning of Praia Grande to the end of the beach. Halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of the beach. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Praia Grande - 7038.57 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
