  • Description

    gregarious. Pileus 2.5-5 cm broad, convex to plano convex, moist, subvelutinous at first, then finely areolate, even then finely rugulose, gray brown (7E5,4) fading to grayish tan (6E5,4). Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Hymenophore tubulose, adnexed to depressed; tubes white at first then with a pale pinkish flesh color, unchanging; pores concolorous, staining pale brown. Stipe 5-7 cm long, 5-8 mm broad, +/- to slightly broader below, dry, finely scabrous, white; scabers dark grayish brown; with white mycelium at base; interior white, unchanging, becoming yellow with age toward base. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
