    Submonane forest. Quercus oocarpa dominant with another Quercus sp. Gregarious. On soil.

  • Description

    Pileus 4-6.5 cm broad, convex, with olive tints when wet and viscid, otherwise dark brown, matted tomentose. Flesh up to 1.5 cm thick, white, staining pinkish, with mild odor and taste. Tubes white becoming pallid pinkish flesh color, staining brown; pores likewise staining, up to 1 mm broad. Stipe 4-7 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, ±equal, white, finely but conspicuously reticulate, with reticulum white at first soon pale pinkish brown, staining brown with handling; interior white, changing as in pileus.
