Habitat
With water-worn horizontally bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge-marsh, exposed rock and waterfall. Vegetation open scrub to closed low woodland in drier areas.

Description
Bushy shrub to 2 m. with stems bare below. Leaves rigid, spreading mid-green, slightly paler beneath. Sepals yellow green. Petals bright magenta. Anthers dark golden yellow. Stigma yellow with pinkish style. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
