French Guiana. Saut Athanase tourist camp on the Approuague River, ca. 25 km SW of Regina. On grounds of camp and on trail departing camp at upstream side of camp.

On riverside trail on upstream side of camp. In low area near river.

Description
Tree, 32 m x 35 cm. Trunk cylindric to ground. Bark finely and vertically cracked, the slash reddish. Pedicel and hypanthium rugose, green; petals pink with white at bases, androecial hood deep pink externally; stamens and anthers mostly white, a few anthers on ligular side yellow. Four petals oriented forward, two cupped over back of ligule. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
