Description
Bamboo, forming clumps of 12-15 culms. Culms erect, arching slightly at apex, 2-2.5 cm in diameter, to 3-4 more robust ones, later rebranching. Culm leaves deciduous as the branches develop. Internodes 18-23 cm long, slightly flattened. All vegetative. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Gallery formation along a river in region of Araucana forest. Bamboo at edge and in forest, forming clumps of 12-15 culms. Culms erect, arching slightly at apex, 2-2.5 cm in diameter, to 3.5 m tall. Branching extravaginal; subsidiary buds/branches of two sizes, usually 3-4 more robust ones, later rebranching. Culm leaves deciduous as the branches develop.
