The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Cyperaceae Eleocharis DEPTO. SANTA CrüZ, Prov. Guarayos, “Los Ángeles” ranch, 5.6 km (by air) E of main plaza of Ascención de Guarayos, on gravel road to La Chonta. 15°53’10”S, 63°08’08”W. alt. 215 m. Extensive “curichi”, i.e. shallow marsh, at this time with little standing water and many of the aquatics stranded on wet mud, the center dominated by large, coarse Panicum (no. 58832) and Cyperus (no. 58831). Few stems in a clump, but seems to form colonies. Spikes in all stages, especially conspicuous in the pistillate phase when the white stigmas are exsert. Flowering culms half or less the height of the mature ones. YO*£ BOTANICAL NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN Coll.: M. Nee 58834 05185066 05185066
