More or less disturbed primary forest c.
35 m high, on margin and slope of deep
ravine. Deep clayey volcanic soil.
Tree 20 m high. Clear bole5 m, 22 cm dbh
without buttreses. Outer bark c. 1 mm
thick, with a reticulate network of
shallow cracks, not peeling off. Inner
bark 7 mm thick, out dirty light violet,
in cream-coloured. Flower buds light
green. Fruits when young green, when ma-
ture ochre.
