On gentle eastern hill slope, in full sun, along roadside. Abundant and native.
Grassland, Hibiscus, Eragrostis, Cymbopogon, Hyparrhenia and Digitaria.
Annual herb, 45 cm high. Petioles 10-15 mm long. Plants covered in prickly
hairs. Simple leaves alternate, hairy, leaf margins dentate and deeply lobed.
Solitary flowers large, pinkish-white petals, sepals translucent. Capsule in calyx
bladder.
