Habitat; Poor lowland rain forest, rather
dry; somewhat disturbed; on ridge top.

d.b.h. 2\ inches. Bark red-brown; blaze
dull red with large channels. Wood dull
pink, with prominent white rays. No odour.
No exudate. Leaves green above; light
green below. Branchlets dark purple.
Fruit dark purplish green. Local name
Golomariu.
