near the Arches; above top of initial steep slope from coast and along
the gradual slope beyond to the peak of ridge. Pinus pumili and Alnus
sp. as the dominant vegetation with an extensive low cover of ericads
(Vaccinium, Rhododendron), Empetrum or grasses and tall forbs
(Filipendula, Cirsium)%
