With water worn horizontally-bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh, exposed rock & waterfall. Vegetation: open scrub to closed low woodland in the drier areas.

Slender herb to ca. 25 cm. with strong wintergreen odour and with purplish-pink flowers. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
