research station; natural-growth foothill forest, Clusiaceae-
dominant with Garcinia and Calophyllum, altimeter elev 450’ (137
m); colls, centered on coordinates 7° 44’ lat. x 146° 29.5’ long.
exsiccatae sequence 11382 -11395; 15 m subcanopy tree- very
common but populations mostly sterile; no buttress, outer bark
transversely lined, no yellow sap seen from the slash* distichous
branching, twigs green, somewhat compressed' leaves
distichous, subcoriaceous, adaxial surface very dark green
abaxially medium green; pedicels green; flower buds qlobose
and whitish-green.
