Field Char: Hardwood tree 15m tall, 20cm dbh:
straight bole to 10m tall; slash pale yellow;
inner bark reddish brown; fruits guava green;
fruit & bark with bright yellow precipitate
when split.
Locality: East New Britain Province: Wild Dog
Mining Site, 5G km southwest of Rabaul on the
Bainings Mountains.
Habitat: Montane mossy forest With Castanopsis,
Agathis, and Casuarina dominant,
ca. 1000m, 4°35’S X 152°03’E
