Rather undisturbed primary forest c. 35m
high, on deep clayey volcanic soil along
the Toraut river. Terrain undulating.
Tree c. 25 m high. Clear bole 10 m, 25
cm dbh, without buttresses, with dist-
inct cross-ridges. Outer bark 0.2 mm
thick, not fissured,not peeling off. In-
ner bark 7 mm thick, ochrish, with lit-
tle opaque exudate. Fl. buds yellowish
green.
