S of Elam Village along Wau-Biaru Rd., ca. 07° 30' S, 146° 40' E, 2,180-
2,250 m elev. Montane wef forest dominated by Nothofagus.23 Nov 1996.
Tree 5 m x 8 cm; leaves and branchlets golden tomentose;
calyx yellow, corolla white, then pink with age.
