CAMEROON, SOUTH PROVINCE, 3km from bridge over
river Bingola, on lie Dipikar. Wood exploitation.
Herb, up to c. 60cm high. Roots white. Stem quadrangular,
winged, pale green. Leaves dark green above, grey-green
beneath. Petioles red above.
Calyx red, persistent. Corolla pale violet. Stamens white with
yellow anthers. Style pale light green with light green apex.
Fruits red violet.
Uses: Fruits are eaten around Ebolowa (edible, with sweet
PulP).	______
