Yunnan Province, Yongping Xian: Ca. 7.6 km due S of Yongping city
and NE of Zhong-cun along dirt road W of Xian Road 087.
25°23'13"N, 99°32'3"E; 1750-1830 m. Heavily disturbed forests on
moist slopes and Pinus plantations on drier slopes; underlying rocks
are shale and limestone with various Ericaceae and Rosaceae on
shale-derived soils and various Lauraceae on limestone soils. On slope
in stony clay soil with other ericaceous shrubs and other acid loving
plants. Shrub, ca. 3 m tall; fruit immature, green, held below leaves on
spreading infructescences. DNA material available.
