Henan Province, Neixiang Xian: Baotianman Nature Reserve,
Nanyin Po. 33°22’N; lll^S’E. Elevation 650-850 m. Dry
slopes and ridge separating two, small, west-facing tributaries
of the Xiaotuan River. Primarily Quercus variabilis forest,
with Lindera and other deciduous trees*
Cornus officinalis abundant, selectively spared from cutting
and also cultivated. Shrub ca. 3.5 m tall; flowers yellowish
green.
