On gentle norhtem hill slope in garden in foil sun. In well-drained sofl of
dolerite sandstone loam. Exotic and common. Grassland.
Perennial tree 10m high. Leaves bipinnately compound, glabrous, alternate,
with dentate leaflet margins. Flowers with lilac corolla, in panicles.
