Sublittoral forest on steep, rocky terrain, with dense poles
and lianas, many trees with damaged crowns, emergents to
35+ m tall (the majority of them Canarium). Many rocky
streams.
Tree seedlings in shaded understory near stream.
Cotyledons green, eophylls simple and opposite, the margin
(sub-)entire. First metaphylls alternate and
simple/unifoliolate. Interspersed with seedlings of other
Canarium (Daly et al. 13088).
