Wet forest on steep slopes, some lianas, canopy
discontinuous, emergents to 40 m tall.
Tree 30 m x 45 cm diam, with branched plank buttresses 1.5
m high and extending 4 m from base; outer bark gray
sparsely lenticellate, thin, shed in thin irregular plates; inner
bark orange. Resin clear. Inflorescence bracts ferrugineous,
buds white. On sloping ridge near almost vertical slope.
