Primary montane forest on steep slopes, canopy 10-12 m
with emergents to 20+ m, understory dense with poles and
slender lianas. Canopy rich in Sapindaceae, Lauraceae, and
Clusiaceae; strong presence of Canarium, Dypsis, and in
places Marojejya.
Sapling 2 m tall. Leaves 7-8-jugate. Stipules ca. 9 x 9
mm, base slightly constricted, caducous.
