Submontane forest on steeply dissected terrain, many poles,
strong presence of palms in understory, discontinuous
canopy of ca. 20 m tall with emergents to 35 m.
Tree 8 m x 10 cm, outer bark gray, very finely fissured, with
pronounced hoop marks; inner bark sepia. Leaves 7-9-
jugate, pseudostipules 5-10 mm long, obovate to obliquely
semi-orbicular. Sterile. Next to stream. Leaflets glossy
abaxially,
