SW facing 0-10° slope.
Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest.
Disturbed by felling.
Primary forest slightly disturbed by some felling
dominated by Fagaceae and Lauraceae.
Tree ca. 15 m tall. Pedicels and inflorescence branches
red. Young fruit green. Common.
Growing in forest on moist slope.
In loam on granite.
