Parque Nacional Tatamà. Montezuma Rainforest Reserve and Ecolodge.
Western slopes of the Cordillera Occidental. Cuenca Rio Taibà. Trail to
the junction of the three rivers (Rio Taibà, Rio Crystalina, and Rio ?).
Elevation: 1150 m. 5°15'6"N 76°4'49"W. Bosque Andino. Terrestrial
herb, 70-90 cm tall. Leaves whorled (3/node). Stems and foliage
tomentose with dark red trichomes. Fruit a white globose berry.
