Palmitas. Vereda: La Volcana. Trail following Quebrada Volcana.
Cordillera Central. Elevation: 2044 m. 6°20'34"N 75°40'48"W. Mostly
secondary forest with remnant patches of low montane forest (bosque
montano bajo). Shrub, 2 m tall. Abaxial leaf surface green suffused with
red. Bracts and perianth pinkish-red. Photographs of this collection are
