Habitat; Lowland rain forest on flat
ground.
Annot. Tree, with small buttresses, l‘J ft.
high by li ft. wide, straight, plank-type.
Height 50 ft., d.b.h. 7 inches. Bark purple-
brown, horizontally ribbed, smooth. Blaze
light orange, with dark rows of channels.
Wood light orange, with dark rings.
Exudate absent. Odour of cabbage. Leaves
dark green above; green below. Fruit light
brownl infrutescence green. Local name
Aumamia.
