Habitat
In shrubby transition belt a few meters wide, bordering an island-like grove of low forest set in open marshy ground. Soil marshy, black, organic. General vegetation: campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams.
