Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest.
Disturbed by felling.
Forest with dominants of Fagaceae and Lauraceae.
Perennial herb 1.2-1.5 m tall. Flowers red. Rare.
Growing in forest on slope.
In loam on granite.
