    Bush like shrubs...; branches rigid, numerous; bark smooth, finally sealing in their plates, yellowish; flowers light pink; fruits dark red when collected; leaves dark green and shining, coriaceous; very pretty; branches of inflorescence light pink also; Balangbañg; ripe fruits are eaten by Igorote children.
