Open forest with palms and weak presence of Guadua sarcocarpa, canopy ca. 25 m. Deeply dissected terrain. Many Marantaceae, few lianas. Rare. Sandy clay soil.

root-climbing epiphyte. Root-climbing epiphyte, inflorescences borne on ends of drooping plagiotropic branches. Nectaries red, flowers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
